HOW TO PLAY...

The objective of the game is to light up the nine coloured Grammar tiles in the PANEL at the top right hand corner of the screen representing the different components of English Grammar.

Click or touch screen to begin playing the game. The roll of the Dice lights up the squares available to you.

Select the Grammar Square of your choice and answer the question correctly to light up the corresponding square in the panel. If there are no Grammar squares available to you then choose any of the lighted squares available and answer the question to collect points.

Continue playing until all the coloured tiles are lit up in the PANEL to win the game. TIP: Try to select the squares that give high points for correct answers and avoid losing lives by incorrect answers.

Also use the Teacher square and the Owl square wisely to select grammar questions and to top up lost lives. NOTE: All points will be recorded on the leaderboard if the player wins the game. If the game is not completed or the player loses all lives then all points are lost.

TYPES OF SQUARES

There are 5 different types of squares on the game board. Click on a square for details of how it works...

Grammar Squares

These squares contain questions on the different components of English Grammar. Answer the question correctly and win points or incorrectly and lose a life. Answer all nine component questions correctly without any break to achieve maximum points. Points awarded for correct answers for Beginners (1000 points) Points awarded for correct answers for Intermediate and General (2000 points) and points awarded for Advanced (3000 points).

Alphabet Squares

These squares contain vocabulary questions. All the questions require the naming of an object, emotions and place all beginning with the letter of the square. You are required to fill in the blanks to complete the word in the time given. There are no penalties and no lives will be lost. Points awarded for correct answers are 5000 points.

Picture Squares

These squares contain questions about the country that is represented by the picture of a citizen. There are no penalties for incorrect answers. Points awarded for correct answers are 2500 points.

Teacher Squares

Selecting these squares offers you an opportunity to select the Grammar question of your choice by playing the three in a row game. All you have to do is stop the reels to show the same component in all the windows. You can then answer the question to light up the corresponding panel light. The Teacher Squares can only be used twice so use it only when you really need it.

Owl Squares

These squares are used to gain an extra life or the use of a Teacher square. You have to answer a question about the World and its Culture. If you answer correctly you have the choice of an extra life or a Teacher. Beware! If you answer incorrectly, you will lose a life. You can never have more than three lives or two uses of the Teacher. So use this function at your own risk! The Owl square rewards a correct answer with 2500 points.
